Dr M. Gratton is very conscientious, knowledgeable, and caring. I have a rare, difficult past medical history that Dr G listened to me carefully and took it seriously into consideration as part of his evaluation of my eyes. I left this visit with Dr G and his staff feeling heard, carefully assessed, and confident with his analysis of my eye health and with clear answers to my concerns.

I have been a patient for the last 10 - 11 years and always satisfied with the quality of service however, this appointment was longer unnecessarily due to staff not setting the field machine properly which caused me to have to go back to the wait room for a little while while the machine was reset which caused me to be behind in schedule for another appointment. None-the-less I know things happen and I love the service I receive at novus.

I'll be upfront my husband was the one with the appointment but I was with him from the call to appointment. When they called they said they accepted his insurance that the appointment would be covered. Get to the appointment, all the way up to him being taken back to a room he then asked if in fact they accepted his insurance. The nice lady went and checked and when she came back she told him they do not accept his insurance and he would have to pay at the end. This to me is not ok. We will not recommend to anyone and we will not be returning.

Had an eye exam scheduled at 9am. (12/16/23). Brought back to Dr. Pirman's exam room and waited. Waited for 40 mins. No James Pirman. Went to check out window & asked why is it taking so long. Lady says, "He ( Dr. Pirman) has not shown up yet." I left. Total disrespect. Have gone here for over 20 years. Never again. They could of said, "James is running late" "James overslept" Nothing. Next time they text to confirm an appointment, I will reply Yes. Then call day of to say I am on my way. Then never show. Since Dr. Pirman and his staff treat clients this way, figure they deserve the same treatment. Called my insurance to make sure they don't get billed for no service as well. Should be zero stars. Guess the 1 star is given to Dr. Pirman's staff member (lady with blonde hair). She looked embarrassed that Dr. James Pirman forgot to show up on time. Her expression said it all. "Yeah. You showed up on time. We showed up on time for work. Dr. Pirman, he shows up when he wants....sorry." What was most upsetting was I really enjoyed Dr. Pirman. He was always nice to my family. Unfortunately after something like this its really hard to go back. Time to move on to another eye doctor & practice.
